Who’s running this place?
I’m Eugen and I’m the creative director, designer, writer and just about anything else related to Child Toys Guide. I live in Tulcea, somewhere in Romania, near the Danube Delta. A great place for those passionate about nature and bird watching.
When I was a little younger, I was mad about toys. I loved LEGO, toy cars and robots. My friends were all mad about them too. We would usually go to someone’s home with all our toys and play till the sun set, only to start all over again the next day.
How did Child Toys Guide come to life?
The idea of building this site came when a friend of mine complained that she could not find any good info on choosing toys. I was about 15 and loved web design.
Since I had some experience with toys :D, I started building this site. With my own history of toys and a few tips from my mother, the site quickly started looking the way you see it now. I will always be a work in progress, with new stuff added constantly. I hope you find at least moderately useful:D
If you want to contact me about anything toys related, you can use the form here. I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
What are some of the other projects I’m involved in?
Besides Child Toys Guide, I built a number of other sites over the years. Most recently, I started building a coupe in my own language, Romanian. The first one was Aaa Bebe, which was actually supposed to be a website that my mother would maintain.
As it turned out, she was kind of busy and although I took over for a while, I decided that It would be more appropriate to launch a sister for Child Toys Guide. It’s called Ghidul Jucăriilor I’m planning to make something really interesting with it in the coming weeks.
Another site is Programe de Afiliere, which is going to be mainly a directory of affiliate programs that function in Romania. I had the idea years ago, but I was reluctant to start it because at the time, the affiliate business model was not as developed here. Even today it is too disorganized, so I will try to steer it into the right direction with this site.
The last site that I launched in 2011 is Lumea Adidașilor, which is all about sneakers. It’s also a sister site of another website that I own.
Right now I’m working on a brand new project called Binocluri De Top which I hope will grow into a reference site for the Romanian market.

I wish you all the best,
