I remember a number of years ago when I was a little kid and I had the chance to see the first Jurassic Park movie. No, it wasn’t 1993! I’m not that old. I don’t know what I was doing, but it took me a number of years to catch up and see what the fuss was all about. All I know is that I was curious why on earth every house I visited had a small dinosaur toy or at least a poster of the movie.
A couple of months later, the third movie in the series was being released and I think we were the first people in the city to buy tickets for it. We absolutely loved it. At this time we were already too old to mess around with toys, but I know plenty of parents who bought all sorts of velociraptors and other funny dinosaur toys around the neighborhood.

Just around that time, the discovery channel was airing numerous documentaries about these age old creatures, only to make us, the little dinosaur freaks happy.
A dinosaur that everybody knows is Dino, from The Flintstones cartoons and every movie that followed the popular series. The name “Dino” went to become the name for every 60 million year old character that appeared over the years.

While the show had some negative reviews and was ranked by TV Guide as one of the 50 worst TV shows, it still was one of the most popular kids’ shows ever.
