Students at Maryland Catholic school go to international LEGO competition

The LEGO team from Maryland Catholic school is a veteran of such competitions. Early this year, they won the FIRST Lego League Director’s Award at the University of Delaware against more than fifty other teams from four states.

The team is made of sixth-graders Coby Hyde and Modesto Steiner-Robles and seventh-graders Jimmy Grimes, Cliff Hegedus and Joey Hendron.

They are going to participate in a contest with teams from 30 countries, where design, performance, research and teamwork are the key factors to decide who the winner is.
