Every child's dream: To own a dog
One huge desire that every child has is to own a dog. It doesn’t matter if it’s a breed dog or not. But because of some inconveniences this in impossible.
Either because there is not enough room in the apartment or raising a pet is too expensive or because of any other reason, having a dog in the house is out of discussion.
As replacement for real dogs, toys dogs are a good way to avoid the huge responsibility that a real living animal involves
As I said, every child wants a dog as a pet. I bet that you too wanted a dog when you were younger. Unfortunately, most parents don’t want a dog in the house and tell the child that it is very hard to raise one.
This way they get rid of one concern, but the child remains disappointed. I’m sure you too felt that way when your parents said no.
If getting a real dog is not possible, a toy dog would be the best alternative
To avoid saying no to your child, explain him why it is very hard to raise a real dog. The dog must be longed, walked outside several times every day, fed and so on.
To avoid a really bad response from your child, tell your child that you’ll get the greatest toy dog instead. (Do this only if you live in an apartment.
If you live in a home with a backyard then you have no excuse. Getting a real dog is the only way to satisfy your child). I know that a toy dog is not as good as a real dog, but it’s better than no dog.
Once you’ve done this, you have to keep your promise and get a wonderful toy dog, or you’re child will start crying and screaming that he wants a dog and that you don’t follow your promises. Your child will hate you for not buying a dog.
A few words about Aibo, the world's most popular robot toy dog
One of the best toy dogs that you can find is a robot dog developed by a Japanese company. Its name is Aibo and imitates very successfully a real dog, without needing to eat or to go out.
He could play the entire day without getting tired. The only little disadvantage of this technical wonder is its enormous price, making it inaccessible to many people.
There are other similar robot toy dogs that are cheaper, but aren’t as entertaining as Aibo. They can sing or even talk. These toy dogs have very funny designs, and can easily be considered by your child as better than a real dog.
Other good toy dogs for children
Other substitutes to read dogs are plush toy dogs, but there toys aren’t recommended for younger children because plush absorbs large amounts of dust.
Young children like to mouth toys, and this way the dust absorbed by the plush toy dog can be inhaled by the child. Read more about plush toys. For older children however, plush toy dogs are great.
There are many plush toy dogs that can be used to decorate a child’s room. Children like to ride them like they would ride a horse, and have lots of fun doing this.
